Our men’s ministry program has trained male peer counselors that offer extensive information and support for men facing unintended pregnancy. 
First Coast is a safe place for men to openly discuss concerns and questions relating to the pregnancy. The Hope Program for men is a program that focuses on building authentic biblical manhood and fatherhood through peer counseling, mentoring followed up with worksheets and one on one mentoring. Men meet individually and deserve to be provided with accurate information and practical support regarding issues such as:
- Pregnancy options
- Responsibilities of fathers
- How to become an effective father
- Accurate information about their choices
- Sexually transmitted diseases
- How to support the baby’s mother
- Continuing education
- Post abortion counseling
- Spiritual guidance
- Gospel presentations
Men and Abortion
We know that women are not the only ones who suffer from an abortion decision. We offer healing assistance for men as well. They may be hurting because they are pressured or encouraged their wife or girlfriend to have the abortion, they may have consented to the abortion even though they wanted the baby, they may not have known about the abortion ahead of time, or they may have tried unsuccessfully to stop the abortion. Males may experience the following symptoms and/or behavioral clues:
- Relationship struggles
- Inability to trust friends
- Rage
- Addictions
- Sexual compulsions
- Sleeplessness, nightmares
- Sexual dysfunctions
- Depression
- Fear of failure
- Fear of rejection
- Loneliness or numbness
