If you suspect that your wife or girlfriend is pregnant, we want you to know that First Coast Women’s Services has resources that specifically address your needs as a man. We meet with the men individually and can provide you with accurate evidence-based education and practical support. Our men’s program has trained male client advocates that offer extensive information and support for men facing unintended pregnancy. All our Services are free of charge.
Your partner is going through many changes. An unplanned pregnancy can leave you both feeling scared, depressed, and upset. It may be happening so fast that you both have not had time to consider all your options. Before she decides, the two of you can decide together.
Men tend to think that being “supportive” means they have to keep their emotions to themselves and leave the decision up to their partner. But you should know the facts, too. Please look at our abortion education page: Considering an Abortion?
Then, make an appointment to talk to a male client advocate who understands what you’re facing. First Coast is a safe place for men to openly discuss concerns and questions relating to the pregnancy.
